Cancellation & Refund Policy

  1. General Rules

1.1 OLC – Labour & Karigar Hub is a connecting platform; therefore, most payments related to work are handled directly between the customer and the labour.

1.2 OLC is responsible only for its own platform/service charges.

  1. Refund Only on OLC Charges

2.1 Only the service fee charged by OLC is eligible for a refund.

2.2 A refund will be issued only if there is a mistake or technical issue from OLC’s side.

2.3 If the service is not used due to the customer’s mistake, cancellation, or change of mind — no refund will be provided.

  1. Labour/Project Payment Refund

3.1 If the customer pays directly to the labour, OLC cannot provide any refund for that amount.

3.2 In the OLC payment model, if the customer pays the full amount to OLC:

Refund is possible only if the work has not started.

No refund after the work has started.

OLC service charges will be deducted from the refund.

  1. Cancellation Refund

4.1 If labour is not available, OLC will fully refund the service charge (if collected).

4.2 If the customer cancels suddenly and the labour has already left for the site:

No refund will be issued

Labour’s “travel/time compensation” may apply

4.5 Worker Not Available (Same Day)

If the worker:

Does not arrive

Cancels at the last minute

Phone is switched off

Fails to coordinate

Then:

Full refund for that day

Replacement worker will be arranged (subject to availability)

4.6 Customer-Side Cancellation Policy

If cancelled before work starts:

50% per booking will be deducted

Remaining amount will be refunded

If cancelled after work starts:

Platform fees for that day are non-refundable

In multi-day bookings, future days may be refunded

4.7 The platform fee is charged for the service effort of
connecting users with workers.

4.8 If a worker cannot be arranged despite reasonable
efforts, the request may be re-processed on priority or an appropriate
resolution may be provided.

4.9 Refunds or credits, if applicable, are handled on a
case-by-case basis at the platform’s discretion.

4.10 Users must contact customer support for any
refund-related requests.

  1. Refund Process

5.1 Refund requests will be reviewed within 24–48 hours.

5.2 Once approved, refunds will be issued within 3–10 working days.

5.3 Refunds will be processed through the same method used for payment.

5.4 If the booking is cancelled after submission but before the work starts, the platform fee can be adjusted toward a future booking.

  1. Non-Refundable Conditions

Refund will not be provided in cases related to:

Incorrect information provided by the customer

Wrong location shared

Labour being stopped from work without reason

Work cancellation by the customer

Extra material payments made to labour

Delays caused due to weather, traffic, or natural conditions

  1. Partial Work — No Refund

7.1 If the labour/worker has started the work even for a short duration, the full day’s platform fee will be considered applicable and no partial refund will be provided.

  1. Behavior Issues Clause

8.1 If the labour discontinues work due to customer’s misbehavior, harassment, abusive environment, or unsafe site conditions — no refund will be applicable.

  1. Emergency / Unavoidable Situations

9.1 If the labour cannot come due to a genuine emergency (accident, health issue, or family emergency), OLC will arrange replacement or reschedule the booking. Refund may not be applicable in such cases.

  1. Chargeback / Fraud Protection

10.1 If a refund request is found to be based on false information, fraud, or misleading claims, OLC reserves the full right to deny the refund.

  1. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must:

  1. Provide accurate address, landmark, and timing
  2. Keep their mobile number active and reachable
  3. Allow the labour to complete the work without interruption
  4. Keep required materials/tools ready beforehand
  5. Ensure a safe working environment.
  1. Platform Fee Nature

The platform fee is charged only for booking processing and connecting customers with labour/karigar. It is not a payment for the actual work performed.

No Guarantee of Work Outcome

OLC does not guarantee the quality, behaviour, or completion of the work. All work-related terms are mutually decided between the customer and the worker.
